1 February 2016Aragon River, European Riverprize award finalist
31 March 2016A local closing event of the LIFE project TERRITORIO VISÓN (LIFE09 NAT/ES/000531) will be held on 18-19th March this year. The municipalities Marcilla and Falces, on the riverside of Arga and Aragón, will hold this event designed to present the stakeholders and local population the final results of the project.
The aim of the project Life+ Mink Territory was to improve the conservation status of the European mink (Mustela lutreola) by restoring the fluvial ecosystem and mink habitats along the lower reaches of the Aragón and Arga rivers in the region of Navarre. This was accompanied by awareness-raising activities which sought to encourage the public to place more importance on and change its attitude towards nature, rivers and the conservation of biodiversity.
The event will mainly consist on a technical session with a field visit to some of the project’s actions and a final event opened to all the local actors who have been involved in the project, such as youth groups, schools, volunteers and citizens associations from the 12 municipalities involved in the project.
