Mink Territory Information Point Cycle of Talks

On the 22nd March 2013, we started a series of public talks on different aspects relating to biodiversity and to the management of the riverine area. The first of these talks, coinciding with World Water Day, was focussed on a key topic in Mink Territory: river dynamics and floods. César Pérez Martín, director of the Water Service. The meeting then moved on to the more practical part of the talk, discussing the problems of flooding in the Ebro river basin.

The talk commenced at 7 pm with a theoretic explanation on concepts such as morphology, flow rates, balanced river, etc. Particular mention should be made of the idea that "floods are natural phenomena that cannot be avoided".
