LIFE mink territory
MINK TERRITORY is a Navarre project financed by the European Commission through the Program LIFE+ "Nature and Biodiversity".
It is directed at promoting the biodiversity of the lower reaches of the Arga and Aragón rivers, the area with the highest population density of European mink (Mustela lutreola) in western Europe.
Project presentation
One of the threats to the European mink is the destruction and degradation of its habitat is another factor contributing to the regression of the species. The Navarre Government has been working towards increasing the potential habitat of the minks, thereby reducing its risk of extinction.
